So much more than just a food festival…
The Yorkshire Dales Food & Drink Festival is returning in July, with the hilarious Hairy Bikers and Yorkshire Legend Brian Turner on Saturday the 20thand the Queen of the kitchen Mary Berry and the lovely Lisa Faulkner on Sunday the 21st. 2019’s event is set to be even bigger and better than last year with a whole host of new stages, workshops and entertainment.
The festival team are super excited to be celebrating Bettys 100thBirthday with the new Bettys Cookery School Theatre, where their talented teachers will be demonstrating some of Bettys signature dishes. The festival once again continues to promote the very best of Yorkshire’s food and drink with the introduction of a fabulous AA Rosette Cookery Stage, sponsored by the Devonshire Arms Hotel & Spa where some of Yorkshires finest AA Rosette Chef’s will be showcasing their skills.
Once again you can stay at the festival for the entire weekend. Three nights camping, caravan and motorhome pitches are available and new for 2019 is electric hook-ups which are booking up fast! The lovely Village Belles are back with their Glamping Tents too.
This is a Food Festival like no other!
The event showcases the best of regional Food & Drink traders, from artisan producers to award winning brands and products. There are also craft and lifestyle exhibitors, which makes the weekend perfect for shopaholics. Take yourself on a culinary around the world trip with some of the best street food from across the UK!
Get your taste buds tingling in the Tipple Talks and Tasting Tents, where our experts will guide you through their products and offer samples. Or even have a go with free workshops in our Makers area.
It’s a weekend full of family fun with plenty for the children to do, from the Vintage Fun Fair, free pizza making and Kiddy Cook classes, kids sports, petting farm, and a kids disco, plus a min-festival goers area full of fun activities to keep them occupied – this event has it all!
And to top it all off the festival just wouldn’t be complete without live music! With an amazing ABBA and Take That tribute acts performing on Saturday and a Little Mix and Freddie Mercury tribute acts on Sunday. These fantastic acts are also supported throughout the weekend by a range of local Yorkshire bands.
There are free buses running from Skipton Railway Station and High Street all weekend, plus onsite parking, making getting there easy. The event is dog friendly in all areas, so bring along your four-legged friends too!
